Iran: The People and the Regime
Hadi, 76

The people of Iran, for 40 years, had to live with economic, social, and political injustice. Initially, they would have holding this regime silently, but the regime cracked down hard on the people.
Many Iranian people were arrested, executed, so people had to go against the regime, which is unjustly. It reached a point last year that people took the opportunity of taking matter into their hands and turned into the streets.
They were very uncomfortable during this. So, as you see, one year after this uprising, the regime used injustice again. They killed 500 people. They arrested 33,000 people.
Now, Iranian people have been more upset and frustrated. And as you can see, they are outside of the country, racing with Iranian people inside, going onto it.
These are very tough Iranian people inside Iran, which are going through that part.
What is the change we want to see?
So, we want this regime to go, because this regime is a root cause of all these economic, social, and political injustice.
And we know that the regime tried to divert the attention of Iranian people, to outside of Iran, and blame West for what’s going on in Iran. So, we want this regime to be changed. We want a government by people, for people, and this is how we run our deal.

How does this issue affect children and youth?
I guess children have quite a bit, because of economic hardship. They don’t see their future for themselves.
So the effect on children is much harder than the rest of the society. Actually, this regime has killed many children, about 60 children were killed last year.

What is your message to the people to inspire them to help and advocate for this situation?
So, this war between people and regime has reached the boling point now, and the regime is already gone. They lost the support of people. So, they are hanging to the worst crackdown, and eventually everywhere, we have to continue with it.
The future is bright, and it’s for the people of Iran.
Thank you.
